a DICKENS of a weekend

We are freshly back from Dickens of Christmas in Wellsboro, PA .  What a beautiful weekend. The weather was right and the celebration was super.
We took Cookie along, and I forgot to to snap pictures.  However, she ended up hanging from Mom Mom's chandelier and resting on her shelf.  She traveled back home with us today on this awesome birch reindeer that I wanted and Jimmy bought me as a surprise.
We found some really cute craft ideas at Dickens that are certainly worth sharing
A bent handle painted spoon ornament! Super cute, great way to up-cycle. They had gingerbread faces, stars, the paint overlay was very sparkly.
I also found "Snowman Soup", which contains 1 packet of hot cocoa, hershey kisses, marshmallows, and a candy cane.  Love this as a little surprise!
Tonight, we went to Silver Spring Presbyterian Chruch in Mechanicsburg for a drive thru nativity. The luminaries were placed along the road through their church campus, which were beautiful. They offered their own radio channel to listen to music and narration, which was super cool.  I unhooked audrey from her car seat and let her sit on my lap, only to realize that we were driving a little too quickly passt the live nativity, so we only got to look for like 10 seconds.  Overall, a nice very quick trip!
