Oh, oh, oh!
Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height!
Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Oh, let's go fly a kite!
Thats also from Mary Poppins....what can I say, my kiddo has a bit of an obsession! :)

Anything can happen if you let it, so says Mary Poppins
Audreys newest obsession since seeing the traveling broadway show.
SO, I strapped Cookie with a bag and bonnet onto a flying umbrella for tomorrow!
Lets hope she gets it!
PS: That umbrella is hanging from the second story foyer!

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo
Audreys First Train ride took place with her Uncle Johnny, the train enthusiast, and the rest of the salter family. We traveled to Wilmington Delaware to ride the Wilmington & Western Holiday Express Light Train. The train was a doodlebug train all lit up and traveled to view neighborhood lights.
So much fun. The Santa train pulled into the station prior to our boarding, and we actually got to share a little dinner with Santa at the Snackbar.
A fun time for all fo us! Thanks Uncle Johnny and Aunt Samantha for planning a super fun trip!

Elf Party, Carriage Ride and a visit from Rudolph
Yesterday was a whirlwind. My parents came and we had a quick drive to Hershey Park Christmas Candylane and Sweet Lights! It was a balmy beautiful day to ride the rides and enjoy the park. Although we waited in line for the "Sky Ride" for 10 minutes, got to our place in line on the footprints, and Audrey freaked out and we all got out of line without going on the ride....it happens.
We had a quick little elf party today. Cookies, candy, reindeer food to make, a fun hands christmas tree, a make a snowman contest, a visit from Santa ( aka my husband) and a tour of the fire station. WHEW...all in 90 minutes!!!
Finally, after a long day, it was time to move Cookie. Tonight, may be my favorite.
I dabbed a spot of red paint on Cookie and Audreys noses. I placed Cookie with reindeer ears and a mirror and a note that says: "Take a look in the mirror. We had a great visit with Rudolph!" LOL!
She is going to squeal with delight!
Thanks to Cookie for filling our house with creativity and delight!

Then, as a surprise, we took my folks on a carriage ride with Harrisburg Carriage Company on City Island, around Harrisburg. Beautiful! A great value and a fun ride. I would recommend it highly, especially to folks looking for a little romance for 2.

A visit from the EASTER BUNNY???
Yes, this morning at 6l40 am when my kid jumped out of bed and said she needed to find Cookie, I was pretty sure I made the worlds craziest decision ever. It is 30 degrees outside for goodness sake. And I made......a winter easter egg hunt?
Cookie had on Bunny ears and a cotton tail. Her note said that she ran into the Easter Bunny on her way back from the North Pole and she realized this morning, he has dropped some eggs in the yard.
On goes the coat and hat, and out we go, easter basket in hand!
Wow was this kid excited!
Her basket is now full and we have opened up all the eggs to see what treats awaited FROZEN inside.
That silly elf...she is wonderful!
